NOTES AND MEMORANDA.
An extraordinary general meeting- of the North Canterbury Sheepfarmere' Co-op Freezing, Export, and Land Agency Co., Lid., will be held in the Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday, April 14ih, at 3.30 p.m.. when a resolution providing for an increase of the capital of the company will be submitted, Tho annual general meeting of the Canterbury Returned Soldiers' Association will bo held in the Art Gallery on Thursday, April 22nd at 8 p.m. Nominations for the executive must be forwarded to tho secretary before April Sth. A mooting of the Woolston Rugby League Club will bo held to-morrow at 8 p.m. A social will bo held in the Halswell Hall on Easter Monday at 6 p.m. The East Ciiristchurch Amateur Swimming Club are holding a swimming carnival in the Municipal Baths to-morrow night at eight o'cloclc. The Canterbury Watchmakers and Jewelleis will remain open on Thursday evening next until 9 o'clock, and will close their establishments all day on Good Friday, Saturday, and Easter Mondy.
