PRINCE OF WALES.
A. DECORATION. (By Cable—Press Association—Copyright.) (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) LONDON, March 26. Tho Prince of Wales has been gazetted a Knight Grand Cross of the JRoyal Victorian Order.
THE CAMBRIAN SOCIETY. A deputation from the Cambrian Society, comprising Messrs C. Lewis (vicepresident) and Dalley, and Mrs Hamber, waited on the Mayor of Christchurch yesterday with the"object of ascertaining the order of procedure in the matter of the presentation of addresses to the Prince of Wales on tho occasion of his forthcoming visit. It was arranged that the Society should come immediately after the City Council, and it was_ also arranged that members of the Sociesty sing "God Bless the Prince of Wales." An illuminated address on vellum in the form of a scroll will comprise tho_ presentation, permission to make which has been granted by the Minister, of Internal Affairs.
At the meeting of the City Council last night, the Mayor said he desired to address an appeal to the 6wnors of premises along the rout© the Prince of Wales would pass to clean up and decorate their premises. Tho route would bo along Manchester street, and probably an address would be presented on the south sido of Latimer square, then along Worcester street, round the Cathedral, and via Colombo and Armagh streets to the Park, where the military review would be held.
