McCarthy, held an enquiry at the Courteous ye»tordav into tho circumstances purrounaing tho death of Gordon Lawrenco Archibald, 15 months old. who met hia death by falling into a shallow wall at a house on Moorhouse ovenuo on Thursday afternoon- After hearing the evi- . draco a verdict of accidental death was returned. * Yesterday morning a young man named Frederick Arthur Bailey was found hanging in a shod at his residence, 15 Draper street, Richmond. At tho inqnent, which was held betoro Mr S. E. McCarthy, Coroner, evidence . was given that eight years ago deceased had been an mmato of Sunnysido Mental Hospital for 20 months, and was not in a normal mental condition when examined by Dr. J. ,F. Duncan Inst year. A verdict of suicide whilst of unsound mind was returned. (.11M ASSOCIATION TMLMHUO TATMARUiN ul, January 9. At tho inquest on Claud Bentizen, who was found near Kaiteke Creek with his head blown off by gelignite, a verdict' was returnod that deceased committed miicido whilst mentally unbalanced. Mrs Boanmont, a boarding-houso-keeper, handed the polico a bag containing £2-11, which tho deceased had told her to keep if ho t never returned. She will make a claim for tho money.
