BRITISH RAILWAYMEN
(Br Cable—Pre«9 Araociation — (Australian and N.Z. Cabls Association.) LONDON. January 6. The "Welsh niilnavmen almost solidly rejected the Government's term®. .Several branches instructed their delegates to the conference to urge an immediate strike. The situation, howover. lias not yet readied a crisis. Of the "13-10 branches consulted, the majority have not yet declared their intention. Labour correspondents believe thatthe groat body of trade unionists t-tip-port Mr Thomas's opposition to a strike, which the leaders nf other great. unions condemn. It is pointed out that the whole of the Triple Alliance must be consulted concerning tho strike, or Mr Thomas may persuade the conference to submit the question to the new Railway Committee. ,
