I (By Cable— Press Association—Copyright.l i (Beuter's Telegrams.) , NEW YORK, January 5. « The brewers have roccived a sovero . blow by the decision of the Supremo ( Court that beer containing 2.75 per j ' cent, of alcohol is illogal. The Court upheld the action of Congress in do- 1 daring this intoxicating, and prevent- T ing the sale of beverages containing one-half per cent, or more of alcohol. Tho decision is regarded,as a definition that will stand under coratitutional Prohibition, and appears to mean a bone-dry nation. [An earlier message stated .—The supreme Court has decided that tho Act, which enforces war-timo j Prohibition, is constitutional, &cc] fjpver- ■ ages containing one-half per cent, or ! more of an alcohol are intoxicating, and thus cannot be sold.]
