Some of the companies arc represented aa follows:— Companies. £ Textiles and clothing... 30,000,000 Mines ... ... 24,000,000 Shipping ... ... 22,000,000 Hanks and financial ... 22,000,000 Oil 20,000,000 Motors ... ... 18.000,000 Food ... ... 14.000,000 Insurance ... ... 10,000,000 Cinema ... ... 6,000,000 Fortv-cight of the companies have an aggregate capital of £20,000,0d0, compared with the vear 1013, when only twentv-one companies had over £1,000,000. The average capital in 1013 was £21.000, and in 1910 it was £40,000. A number of tho companies aro based on profit-sharing and co-partnership schemes.
