On .New Year's Par the school picnic took place in Mr D. Wright's paddock. Before commencing tho programme, Mr Alexander handed to Mrs Waugh a cricket set for tho schooj boys also tennis material for the girls. Games \rero entered linto with zest, mid the raccs evoked much interest, especial.y the married women's race, which was won by Mrs J. Sloss. After tea, Canon Purehas presented tho Sunday school prizes. Cheers were given for Mr and !\lrs Calloway, who had workod hard to make tho picnic a success. RANGIORA.
