Yesterday afternoon, at the residence of her brother, 227 Bealey avenue, a widow named Cathcrino O'Malloy, 6(3 rears of ago. passed away suddenly. It is supposed that tho causo of death was licart failure. An inquest will bo held to-day. A tragody, presenting some mysterious features, was discovered this morning (says Friday's Greymouth "Star"). It appears that "Walter Stanley, who is employed at tlio coal chutos, on opening a door at tho chutos at 7.30 saw tho body of a man propped up against tho wall in a sitting position with a sack over his knocs and another over tho shoulders. Constable Shannon was cklled, and it was fonnd that tho man was dead. Tho deceased has l>een identified as Charles Larson, aged about 10 years, who is well known as an old resident of Greynvrruth. Ho was employed os a wharf labourer.
