, EFFORTS AT SETTLEMENT. (PBBBS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) "WELLINGTON, January SO. Considerable interest centres in the drivers' dispute just now. It is reported that the men themselves are becoming very restive because no settlement has been arrived at so far. It is understood that since the last conference -with the employers, representatives of the Transport Workers' Advisory Board ha\*e placed the position before the Acting-Minister of Labour (the Hon. W. H. Herrios). To-day the Conciliation Commissioner for tho* Wellington district (Mr \Y. Novrton) took a liand in the dispute, but aa yet there is nothing to report as to the progress of the negotiations.
