The chairman reported that in accordance with the wish of the Council, he had journeyed to Dunedin and had entered into an agreement with Dr. Connor, of the Dunedin Hospital, who would shortly take up hi 3 duties in the connty. It waa resolved that the chairman a action be approved. Cr Campbell moved, and Cr. Mcßae seconded : "Thflt the Council express its thanks and gratitude to all those willing helpers •who had assisted in conrba.tin.pr ™ recent influenza scourge, and also to those persons who had assisted with gifts, vee of cars, etc." The motion was earned. Itr B. Scth Smith wroto regarding the width of the bridge at McClelland's ford. The clerk was instructed to reply that the width was ample for the purpose for which it wsc buiit. It wan resolved that the weekly half-holi-day be "Wednesday. It was agreed that the willows at the Mid Greta be protected "from travelling stock; •that wheel guards be put on McClelland's bridge; and that hawkere' by-laws bo prepared. A deputation waited on the Council in reference to the Council raising a loan for the purpose of acquiring land and building a doctor's residence. A deputation was a-D-, pointed to interview tho Minister vf Public Health to procure hifl approval.
