Sir Thomas Mackenzie (High" Commissioner for New Zealand), Sir Peter Mcßride (Agent-Genera', for Victoria), Sir T. B. Roßinson (Agent-General for Queensland), Sir John McCall (AgentGeneral for Tasmania), and General Birdwood attended the Imperial Air Fleet Committee's dinner in celebration of the Empire's vietorv. Colonel Seo!y in a speech promised, on behalf of the Air Council, to make an effort to advance air traffic. "Itis anticipated," ho said, "that great air routes m every part of the Empire will be» established within the life of neariv all of us. It is hoped that the Dominions, in forming their own air service, will co-operate with Britain, so as to have one great air fleet, as we had one great fleet at sea." General Birdwood said that if th*» war had lasted a little longer the German towns would have suffered more than they ever thought possible. The Air Force was just getting to its real strength. Despatches from Rio de Janeiro state a British airplane concern is seeking concessions for an airplane route from Pernambuco to Rio de Janeiro.
