1 SrNN FEIN PARLIAMENT. (By Cable.—Presa Association.—Copyright.) (Australian and N.Z. Cablo Association.) LONDON, January 23. Tho Sinn Fein Parliament opened ■with much solemnity at Dublin. Twenty-three members of tho Rouso "t Commons participated, and Parliamentary usages wore closely followed. Iho proceedings openod with prayer. A pledge was administered binding members to make every effort to seenro independence. Tho i Irish language was used throughout, except in the pledge, which was translated into English. CABINET APPOINTED. (Received January 26th, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, January 23. The Sinn Fein Parliament, at a secret, session, elected a Cabinet, but has nob yet divulged tho names. PRISONERS' DEMONSTRATION. LONDON, January 22. Sinn Fein prisoners in Belfast Gaol demonstrated in connexion with tho opening of tho National Assembly, i Considerable damage was done to doors and windows. The police -were called in and handcuffed several of tho prisoners. MANSION BURNED. LONDON. January 22. The mansion nnd outbuildings on the Dorry Estate, Killaloe, were destroyed by fire. Malice is suspected, as tho estate was recently.sold to a merchant* against the wishes of the local farmers, who wanted to buy subdivisions. COLLEGE SEIZED. (Received January 26th, 5.5 p.m.) NEW YORK, January 25. A Dublin message states that the military have seized St. Edna's College, founded by Patrick Poarce, whb was executed in 1916.
