■ • MISTLETOE LODGE. At the fortnightly meeting. of tho Mistletoe Lodge, U.A.0.D., 40 members and visitors were present. Two funeral claims and a vote of £2 2s to the Navy League appeal wcTe passed for payment. Two candidates were initiated. After eupper a pleasant hour was spent in vocal and musical items. UNITED PIGEON FANCIERS' CLUB. A meeting of tho United Pigeon Fanciers' Club was held last night, Mr A. Gapes presiding 1 , and there was a good attendance of members, among others being Sergeant M. Grant, who has just returned from the front, and who was heartily welcomed by his clubmates. It wa3 decided to hold a table show on tho second Wednesday in February. The classes will bo for young birds, each exhibitor to stago one bird only, any variety or colour. Mr A. C. Gerard was appointed to judge tho "Working Homers, and Mr J. McLean the others. COURT STAR OF CANTERBURY. At the last meeting of Court Stai of Canterbury, No. 2303. A.0.F., Bro. W. Crawford, C.R. presided. The secretary reported that the number of sick members was getting back to normal. The installation of offioers was proceeded with. Bro. W. Crawford installed Bro. W. Godfrey as C.R., who then installed the following officers:—Bro. C. W. Pepperell, S.C.lt.; Bro. C. A. Eldridge, S.W.; Bro. T. Douglas, J.W.; Bro. T. J. Weakly, 5.8.; Bro.' A. C. Lane, M. sec. One new member was initiated Bro. J; Savage, who has returned from the front, wqb welcomed back. UTILITY POULTRY CLUB. The fortnightly meeting l of the New Zealand Utility Poultry Club was held on Tueedav night, presided ■ - over by Mr C. Atkinson. The first part of the evening was devoted to asking and answering of questions (which are referred to in another column), and arrangements were made for a future speech-making . evening. Later on the Entertainment Committee took charge of affairs, and provided, an enjoyable programme Of' song <ind .recitation, together with liberal refreshments. The following contributed to tie programme:— Messrs C. Atkinson, E. E. Mareden, J. W. Green, .T. B. Mearett, J. T. McHarg, S. Dick, and C. Itcnn. DRIVERS' UNION. The quarterly general meeting of the Canterbury Drivers' Union was held in the Trades Hall on Monday night, Mr J. D. Fraaer presiding. The secretary, Mr H. Hunter, etated that he had reported certain persons to the Labour Department for illegally employing boys to drive carte. He stated that the Department was taking action to ensure tho award being enforced in regard to boy drivers. Mr H. > McCaw was appointed the Union's delegate to the Workers' Educational Association. A letter was received from the Labour Representation Committee inviting the Union to forward names of persons-qualified to become candi--1 dates for selection by the committee for seats on the City Council, the Harbour Board, and - the Hospital and Charitable Aid Board. It was unanimously resolved to submit the name of the secretary, Mr Hunter, for nomination for a scat on the City' Council and tie Harbour Board. Mr A. Parlane, secretary of the Drivers' Federation, ! wrote stating that a conference would be held between tlje representative :of the I Drivers' Federation and of.the employees in* Wellington on tho 23rd inst.
