Eight thousand policemen from all parts of the United Kingdom participated in a mass mooting at the Albert Hall. Reporters wore rigorously excluded. Strong guards and stewards were posted at every entrance, and many metropolitan police were refused admission, being unable to produce an official pa6s. It is understood that tho meeting passed eight drastic resolutions protesting against autocratic methods, victimisation by Chief Constables, and dc■manding full recognition of the union, a substantial increaeo in pay, and improved conditions.
