Ceorne Walker admitted the theft of a silver chain handbag, value at £3, the pro-pei-tv of Mrs Barron, and was fined £-, jn default on® month's impTiionment. WILFUIi DAMAGE. Joe Chamberlain, Harry -Savage, dnd Thomas- Cuttle were charged with wilfni > damaging a window, valued at 13s 6d. the property of John Lock. Savage was convicted and ordered to pay for tne damage done and 15s expenses, the charges against tne others being diam'isssed. SHOP-LIFTIXG. Hilda Harrison (Mr Alpcrs) was chargwi with the theft of various articles, valued at 12s sd, the property of the D.1.C., and a piece of ribbon, -valued at 5s 3d, the property of J. Ballantyne and Co. • Lillian Hylsop (Mr Alpcrs) was cnaTjject with 6tealing two pepper box*s, valued at l€, the property of ill© and a- ve)i, valued at 9d, the property of J. Ballantyne and Co. , ' . Jane Lamb (Mr Alpers) waa chared with the theft of a number of articles, valued at £'2 9d, frojt3 lb© and 5b worth of articles from J. Ballantyne and Co. Clara Xixon (Mr Cassidy) was charged with the theft of various articles, valued at £13 13s lid, from J. Ballantyne and Co. Each was convicted and ordered to come up for sentence when called' upon. SECOND-HAND DEALER FINED. Thomas Austin, a. second-tiand dealer, was charged with having eold a. rifle without a permit, contrary to the war regulations. Ho was fined 10s and costs. SUBSTANTIAL FIXES. Frederick Bridger was charged with haviug been drunk while in charge of a motor-cycle, and his father, Henry Bridger, who had been in the eidocar at the time, vras charged >rilh having been drunk in a public place. Both accused, who were represented by Mr Ca-isidy, were also charged with having used obscene language. It was stated in the evident that the accused had mil down a eyelieb in Hill's road. Frederick Bridger was lined £5 and cc-sts on the first charge, and th.2 other accused was fined £1 and toaU loi' drunkeunees, whilo each was fined £.> und costs for the obscene language. [
