« (liV OUR COMMERCIAL EDIXOTI.) There ire re smallor yardings of stock in almost all departments, and the attendance was good. Fat cattle Bold at about last week's rates, exporters again operating freely. TII3 vurding of stow cattle was much above the average, there being a largo proportion of well-grown cattle, but prices were not equal to those ruling a few weeks ago. Store sheep were dull or sale, exccpt anythin? in forward condition. There was little or no change in fat sheep or prime lambs, but medium and unfinished iambs were easier. There wan a fair demand for fat pigs, but stores wera dull of sale. STORE SHEEP. There was again a small yarding of store sheep, made up chiefly of lambs, with a fenlines of wethers and ewec. Any lines of rape lambs in forward condition were in rather better demand, but other descriptions of lambs were dull or sale. At the opening of the sale several iine3.were passed at prices' that would have been accepted later on. Small and low conditioned f*'o-tooth wethers met with little enquiry, and could only be sold at low rates. Tho ranee of prices was: — Two-tooth v.eihers. to 265. Four and si::-toolh wethers, 25s Sd to 2Ss. Four, sis, and. eight-tooth wethers, to 30s 9d. Mixed sex lambs, 10s 7d to 17s fid. Bapo lambs, ICs ltd to 223 2d. Among the sales were: — Wethers—l7l two-tooths at 17s 4d, 114 at 15s 7d, 56 at 265, 8S four and six-tooths at 275, 26 at 25s 3d, 244 at 28s. Ewes —224 four, six, and eight-tooths at 30? 9d, B'J six and eight-tooths at 23s 9d, 102 full-mouth at 18s. FAT LAMBS. There was an entry of only 1298 fat lambs, as compared with 2708 the week before. The quality was only moderate, there being very fo,'.v well finished pens. Prime lambs sold at late rates, but others were rather easier, and the butchers were able to secure larger supplies. The range of priccs was : — Extra primo lambs, to 335. Prime lambs, 26s to 29s 3d.
