NORTH BEACH GALA.
An interesting item in the attractive athletic programme for the North Beach Gala, to be held on Saturday, is a two mile open handicap cycle race, to be run on the beach at "-.30 p.m. Mr W. J. "Walter, who has taken charge of tho event, has given a valuable first prize. Entries for the event will close at the Otago Sports Depot on Thursday at 6 p.m. Handicaps will bo announced on Friday evening. The entrance fee is 2s.
