WELLINGTON'S NEW MILK SCHEME.
_ « (press association telegram.) WELLINGTON, January 20. Although tho Wellington City Council's new milk scheme was officially inaugurated to-day, the whole of the milk°delivered in Wellington did not pass through the station. The war regulations giving the Council power to° control the supply did not come into force until to-day, and several bi" vendors took advantage of this, aiHl purchased their own milk yesterday. In future they must take delivery from the Council. Tho big test, then, as far as the Council's sciheme is concerned, will come tomorrow. To-day something like 2000 gallons, or 12 tons of milk, was put through the station; to-morrow about 5000 gallons or mora will be put throuciu
