NEW YORK TO NEW ZEALAND. The reduction of steamer freights from Now York to Now Zealand ports, which was announced in a telegram from. Wellington last week, marka a definite stage in the lowering of the coat of eoa carriage, as a result of the termination, of war conditions. The freights from New York'to the Dominion have been reduced to £8 63 6d ft ton measurement, and £7 16s 3d a ton by wfcight. The former rate shows a reduction of £* Bft 4d a ton measurement, or one-third the rate charged in Dcoember, 1918. Prior to tlie wm cargo from New Yorfc was classified, ana freight was charged, according to the class 01 cargo. The freights for the different classes ranged from i!2'ss to £3 18s a ton.
