SAID TO BE ALIVE. (raESS ASSOCIATION" TELEGRAM.) WHAKATANE, January 18. The wife of Rua and a son came to Waimana from Maungapohutu on Thursday to attend at the office of the Nativo land purchaser officer. _ She stated that tho influenza epidemic did not penetrate the Crewera Country to Maungapohutu or Ruatahina. She also said that Rua. with some of his followers, was coming to Waimana ou Monday to attend the Land Office.
