A London message states tiiar, replying to an article in "The Times" doubtin:; -whether the broader questions of peace control of naval accessions in the Dominions can bo discussed by Lord .lellicoe, or whether he can advise th« Dominions when the whole balance of sea nower throughout the, world, is altered, Sir Joseph Cook, Australian Minister for the "Navy, states that it is fundamental to the idea of Empire naval defence that though the Dominions should retain control of their own ships, there should be complete standardisation of personnel, ships, and «t(uipment, and that all should be of the best. He points out that Lord Jellicoe will simply advise the Dominions on the basis of the policy -which shall be adopted.
