AUSTRALIAN AIRMEN.
WISH TO RETURN TOGETHER. LONDON. January 2. Tho officers aud men of the Australian Flying Corps most stronglv support the suggestion that they should return as early as possible as a uniu. The question is delayed i'or a decision from Melbourne. Tho corps feels that n a return was made piecemeal and the men scattered ail over the Commonwealth it would be impossiblo to re-form the squadrons and preserve its magnificent traditions. If a return was made as a unit- it •would l>c possible to arrange a striking demonstration worthy of the brilliant services rendered by the men in France and Palestine. This corps would be headed by 60 decorated men. The full equipment of the eight squadrons is valued at £750,000. It is pointed out that 200 cadets could finish their training, and that there are 355 non-effective officers and 2212 of other ranks.
