HOPE OF CHRISTCHURCH LODGE.-' Tiie Hopo 01 ChriatclntrcK Lodge held a social evening in tho Manchester Chambers to welcome homo Bro. J. Eaton, who has returned from tlio front. Bro. Eaton conveyed greetings from tho G.C.T. of England and the Anglo-Indian Ledge. Refreshments were handed round, and items contributed by Sisters Cuddy, Johnson, and Hickcnbotham, Messrs Sweeney and liavord/ and Master llavorJ. BEEKEEPERS' CLUB. At tho monthly meeting of the Cliristchurcli Amateur Beekeepers' Club Hr Bowman, was in the chair, and gave a very interesting lecture on queen rearing, breeding, and mating. Aftijr answering a number of questions, he received a hearty vote of tlianlts. The club's fourth field day will be held Messrs MoDonald and Grant's nDiary. The next field duv will be held at Mr Emmerson's. apiary, Hsilwoil. The Canterbury Beekeepers' Association sent an invitation, to attend its annual fieM day and conference, to bo hold at Mr Ward's apiary, Lokoaide.
