THE GOLDSBURY CASE.
MR GEORGE SCOTT'S POSITIONAn echo of the. Goldsbury case heard at. last night's meeting of the Heatheote County Council, when the By-laws Committee reooitunended that Mr Geo. Scott's resignation as the Council's representative on the Technical College Board of Governors be accepted as from March next. Mr W. W. Scarff asked about the Council's finanoial contribution to the College, but the acting-chairman (Mr / G. K. Burton) pointed out tnat this year's contribution had been paid, and the next was not duo till May. Mr G. M. Hall said they did not know what wpuld hanpen between now_and then at the College; the present director might secure another position. Ine Wellington people wore advertising for a man. _ . Further discussion ended in the committee's recommendation being adopted. In a letter dated Decomber 24th, addressed to the chairman of the Council, which war not read ftt» tho Council meeting.
