SOLDIERS' CLUB AND HALL.
TO THE EDITOB OF "THE PRESS." Sir,—With regard to the collection of funds' for a Soldiers' Club and Hall, there are a few points that should first be made clear. Is the club for returned soldiers, or, for members of the Returned Soldiers' Association only? Who are eligible for membership of the Returned Soldiers' Association? i.e., can a man who went to camp and was discharged on account of his services not being required, become a member, or must he have been overseas,? In the event of a section of members of the present Association severing their connexion with the parent Returned Soldiers' Association, and branching off, would they he debarred from ipaking anv further use of £he club or hall? When these points have been cleared up the public will be in a better position to know what they are subscribing to, whether for the benefit of all ex-mem-bers of tho Jfeiv Zealand Expeditionary Force, or only members of the Returned Soldiers>' Association.-—Yours, etc., INTENDING SUBSCRIBER. WAR MEMORIAL. TO THE EDITOB OF "THE MUSS." Sir,—l think "Massive*s" humble suggestion, an arch, is a <jood one. It would be better if he bad located the arch in the right place in Colombo street; viz.. use the arch as a means of widening {lie throat ftt the Bank of New Zealand.—Yours, etc., MORE MASSIVE.
