NATIONAL APPLE SHOW.
•Iu its report on the reccht National Patriotic Apple Show, the Auckland Executive Committee makes the following suggestions for future shows:— (a) That the National Show should bo maintained as an annual function, as we believe it has immenso educational value". (b) That the element of dual control has operated against the best interests of the show, and should he abolished. (c) That 'in future, having laid 'down the policy of the show and framed the schedule, the directors should leavo the details in the hands of the local directors and the executive in the show centre, with full power to act, the local executive* should have the printing of the scWedulo and catalogue, advertising, receiving entries, providing judges' books, tickets, badges, and all matters necessary to the success of the show. Otherwise the federation should undertako the whole management and control of the show itself. (d) That in futuro shows, new features should he introduced. Ifc should be remembered that instruction and entertainment must go hand in hand. (e) ~\Ye advise that a substantial sum be voted by the directors annually. This money to bo devoted to special prizes, and to generallv boosting and advertising the show, as this is the federation's monster annual advertise, meat. (f) That all exhibits shall be named and cards affixed stating whether tho fruit is dessert or culinary, or both.
