LIABLE FOR TRAINING.

AMENDING REGULATIONS. The following amending regulations have been gazetted for the enrolment of persons liable for military training in New Zealand: — "If any person liable to bo registered for training under the Defence Act is enrolled on the roll of any school, such enrolment shall be accepicd in lieu of registration. Application for registration, or registration, shall not be a condition precedent to -the enrolment, drafting, or transfer of any person into the Senior Cadeta, general training section. or Territorial Force. "Porsons obviously unfit for servico owing to permanent physical or mental defeat will attach a certificate to that effect, signed by a registered medical practitioner, to their registration form. It" it is considered necessary by _ the group commander, the person claiming exemption will bo examined by a. district medical board appointed under tho Military Servico Act, 191G, if 'such be in existence at tlie time, or by a board of officers of the New Zealand Medical! Corps, who may cither (a.) grant total exemption, (b) grant exemption for a certain period, or (c) disallow the claim. "A roll will be kept by the area ser-geant-major of all persons who have registered in his area, and instructions will Ih> sent by post to each, individual registered as to when and where ho will present himself for medical examination, excepting in cases where the person registered is to be posted to the Senior Cadets.- . "Ex-soldiers of the regular forces or of the New Zealand Artillery specially recommended by the O.C. regiment of Jt.X.Z.A., may be enrolled, though over the age of twenty-five years, but in such cases the applications must first be referred to the adjutantgeneral for approval."
