CASUALTIES.
Tho girl, Christina Mills, of Belfast, who --received injuries on -Thursday night through fulling from tho roof of a house, was operated on at the Hospital yesterday, and 13 stated to be progress in;; satisfactorily. A man named Fred Johnston, of Tvyle, was admitted to the Ashburton County Hospital, 0 n Thursday, suffering ironi an injury to .. his right hand, through .it being caught in a hinder. It was l'otind necessary, to amputate the thumb: Erie Jiarr. 1G years of age, ihot with, a serious .icdde'nt while • out rabbit shooting' with a pea-riHe at Mount Somers, on Wednesday. Ho was getting through a fence with some rabbits slung over his shoulder, wljon the rifle went off, the, bullet entering his side and coining out at the point- of the shoulder.
