LYTTELTON NEWS.
THE PICTURES. Ann Pennington appeared in a bright Paramount jilm, entitled "Sunshine Ann," at the Harbour Light Picture Theatre yesterday. This picture will be repeated this evening. A Government war film, "The Battle cf Arras," at which Hindenburg was compelled to retreat, and the seiial'film, "The Negleotei wife," will be screened to-morrow afternoon and om Monday evening. To-morrow evening tha. screen version of Gerard's famous book, "My Four Years in Germany," will be presented. The serial .will also be shown in the evening. One third of the gross proceeds from the showing of "The Battle oi Arras" picture will be forwarded to the Government far patriotic purposes. BILLIARDS. The weekly billiard tournaments were resumed at the Lyttelton Club Hall this week, after having been discontinued for some time owing to a portion, of the building having been requisitioned for <»n emergency hospital. This week's "Flying 50" handicap was won by R. Collins.
