SPRI2CGSTOX CIRCUIT^ quarterly meeting: of the Sprinsrstor Methodist Church, the Rev. J. Harris pre Bided. The membership was reported' t< bo stationary. Tho balance-sheet, notwith standing tho churches being closed for thi'e( Sundays, showed a crcdit of £1 g s 2d. Ani veraary collections wero granted '• to tin | Snringston Sunday Scliodl, Wcedons, and ' ilroadfiold. A remit pent on to the meeting from Synod, regarding the appointment cf an organiser for tho Sunday schools mid _ "oung peoples' Bible classes, was voted out, the meeting being of opinion that, owing to the heavy financial burdens to bo borne by the Home Mission Fund, no appointment ihould be made this year. Owing to tho epidemic in November, the annual Homo .Mission effort had to bo postponed, and it was decidcd to get collecting books sent out for the purpose 'of raising money for the fund. It was .reported that, with several ministers returning from the' front, ihore would bo ft bigge-r claim than ever on the Home Mission Fund. Messrs Sv. Mouuco and J. Cross were re-appointed cir- ; cuit stewards. ill- W. Mounce v.-u3 elected representative to Conference, and Mr S. Keast substitute. Vote® of sympathy v;cro passed to Mr and Mrs T. Everest, Mr and -Mrs Dartnall, and Mr Pitkin, in their bereavements also to Rev. C. Abcrnethv, a | former minister, v.-ho is ill.
