IMPENDING RETIREMENT OF COLONEL COLLINS. (PBESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) WELLINGTON, January 8. Colonel R. J. Collins (Controller and Auditor-General) intends to retire from this position. Some time ago he ex-, pressed a wish to retire, but was requested by the Government to continue in oUitt during the war jsnod. Colonel Collins is also chairman of the Military Pensions Board. j'Jir "it I'iaiions are that Colonel G. F. C. Campbell (Secretary to the Treasury) will succeed Colonel Collins, whose "piacc he filled when Colono* Collins moved on from the Treasury. In such eveni Mr J. J. Esson (Colonel Campbell's chief assistant, who is temporarily Assistant-Public Service Commissioner) is likely to become Secretary to Uio T:<£sury. The changes may not take place for some months.
