SEAPLANE FLIGHT.

AUCKLAND TO WELLINGTON. PRIZE TO BE OFFERED. (peess association telegram.) AUCKLAND, January 8. Tho nucleus of a fund to provide a prize for a flight by seaplane from Auckland to Wellington has been given by the Hon. A. M. Myers, who has offered to subscribe £100 towards the prize. His conditions are that the flight must bo made in a New Zealand-buiit seaplane by a member of the Now Zealand Flying School at Kohimarama, and that the flight is to be made in one day, two stops being allowed en route. His offer holds good for four months. The offer has been made with a view to stimulating interest in commercial aviation and the building of suitablo machines for long-distance flying in New Zealand.
