BOLSHEVISTS TERRORISE CAPITAL. MASSACRES FEARED. (By Cable.—Press Association.— I Copyright.) (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) NEW YORK, January 5. The Budapest correspondent of the "Chicago Tribune" says that the city is terrorised by the Bolshevists. Riots are' the rule, and law and order are tottering. Hundreds of men were released' from tho prisons, and when they refused to return the Guards fired point blank into their ranks. The Bolshevist movement is led by a Russian agitator named Delakun, who is reputed to control large sums to foster Bolshevism. He says that if ho is further opposed, a thousand Bolshevists from the surrounding provincial districts will invade the city. Many citizens fear wholesale massacres. GERMAN AUSTRIA. CONSOLIDATION PROPOSED. BERNE, January 3. Advices state that a movoment has started for the consolidation of Gorman* Austria, under tho Emperor Karl, who is becoming increasingly popular. The Bavarian Roman Catholics, however, are opposed! to the monarchical system. CZECHS ACTIVE. AMSTERDAM, January 3. It is reported that Czech troops have amved at Prcsburg, and have cut the Vienna-Budapost railway and telegraphs. Mobs are looting the food stores.
