IMPORTS FROM BRITAIN
REMOVAL OF RESTRICTIONS

WELLINGTON, January 6
Cablegrams received from the British. Department of Oversea Trade state that refrtrictions on manufactured imports, and exports have already been largely relaxed in the United Kingdom, and there are good prospects for the British export trade as far as tonnage permits are concerned. Orders placed with British manufacturers during the war have now a good prospect of execution, and arrangements for new business may be made. Permits to manufacturers and priority certificates are no longer roquired, and British manufacturers are open to receive and fill orders in many lines that have been closed during the war.
