j LARGELY INCREASED EARNINGS. ! Tho statement of accounts of tlio NewZealand Soldiers' Club, London, for the year ended July 31st last, contains some interesting figures. The year was the second of the club's eyistenco, and the receipts showed an increase of 73 per cent, over those for the previous year. Since the opening of the club 12,303 deposits of money and valuables have been registered for men in the club's safe, and the extension of the practice of storing money, the report states, has resulted in a marked diminution of tho reports of losses, and has doubtless promoted economy. The total earnings of the club for ths year were £23,760 Cs 9d, exclusive of payments made by the N.Z.E.P. for board and lodging of the orderlies amounting to £1255 17s 2d. The earnings were made up as follows: — £ b. d.
