It is stated that there havo been surprising developments in radio-telegraphy j during the war. The public has heard I little of the progress mado in this direction, but the information is coming out now. The Pacific has been spanned by "wireless" across more than one route, and several new stations in the Far East are being established. As regards other lines of expansion, the Scandinavian countries have been linked up with the United States; a huge amount of work of the kind has been dono in the South American States; and a contract has been by tho Dutch Government with the Telefunken Company, for the erection of a liijzh- j power station which will provide a direct I connexion with the Netherlands Indies.
