Two hundred and soventy British sailors were drowned off the Scotch coast. (Received January 2nd, 10.10 p.m.) NEW YORK, January 2. The sailors drowned off the Scotch coast wero on leave aboard the yachE lolaine. The yacht struck a rock off Stornoway. Most of the survivors were injured in attempting to reach the shore. All tho officers and the crew were lost.
