The impression is that the Majority Socialists will form a new Government. COPENHAGEN. Decomber 31. Berlin reports state that the Central Council appointed Noske, Loebe, and Wissell as membors of the Cabinet, replacing Haaso, Dittmann, and Barth, who had resigned. Schiedemann becomes Foreign Minister. Noske Minister of Military Affairs, and Wissell Minister of Social and Political Affairs. EX-CROWN PRINCE'S SON KIDNAPPED. NEW YORK, December 30. The "New York Times" correspondent at Geneva says:—A Berlin correspondent informs me that Prince Withelm, the ox-Crown Prince's eldest son. has been kidnapped by Prussian monarchist officers at Potsdam, and is .being kept hidden. The efforts of the Berlin Government to discover his whereabouts have been unsuccessful. The hopes of the Prussian Junkers centre round the young Prince. The United Press Association general correspondent states that, acoording to a Berlin despatch, Herr Ebert is seriously sick. SPARTACUS PARTY ACTIVE IN BAVARIA'. CONSPIRACY AGAINST THE PREMIER. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) (Received January Ist, 10.35 p.m.) LONDON, December 31. The "Daily Chronicle's" Geneva cor"respondent states that the Spartacus party in Bavaria is very 'active. It possesses machine-guns and plenty of ammunition purchased, with the money of Prussian Bolsheviks. The party is most bitter against Herr Eisner, the Premier of Bavaria, and is openly preparing to overthrow him. The Centre party in Bavaria is intriguing to place Prince Rupprecht on the throne of Bavaria. Prince Rupprecht is now entrenched in one of the mad King Ludwig's mountain castles, which is surrounded by a bodyguard of several hundred royal officers. It is certain that Prince Rupprecht is conspiring against Herr Eisner, whom the Catholics hate because he is a Jew.

HERB EBERT RETAINS OFFICE. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) (Received January Ist, 11.40 p.m.) AMSTERDAM, December SI. As a result of a meeting between the people's delegates and the Central Council, Herr Ebert has decided not to resign. He will make every effort to maintain himself in power, peacefully, if possible. A MONARCHIST PLOT. (Received January 2n3, 1.40 a.m.) LONDON, December 31. The "Daily Nows" Munich correspondent states that a Monarchist plot centred at Munich has been discovered. Forty arrests have been made, including influential officers. The conspirators plotted to seize the arsenal and arrest the Soviet.
