(press association telegram.) WANGANUI, July 18.* Regarding the alleged ill-treatment of inmates in the Wanganui detention barracks at Wanganui, the Returned Soldiers' Association has passed a resolution desiring to assure the Minister of Defence that it is satisfied that no undue hardship had been meted out to the occupants of the barracks. The Association is convinced that the treatment has been infinitely better than in military camps.
