Massey reports rumours of friction between Turkish and German troops, and sayslf theso are true the result of the action in the Jordan valley yesterday is sure to .widen the Drench. Threo Gorman battalions attacked with the object of seizing our water supply. After getting round a portion of tho defences they were held up and forced to surrender. The Germans expected two Turkish divisions to assist, but they made no attempt to do eo, and the Germans ' suffered an ovarwhelming defeat. The Turks were completely disillusioned. . 'The Gorman casualties were very heavy, and over five hundred were f taken prisoner.
