President Wilson lias vetoed the Bill lixing the price of wheat at 2 dollara 40 cents a bushel because it would increase the cost of living, and the Allied Governments be obliged to buy at an increased figure. The whole scale of their financial operations in America, which the United States Government is directly assisting, would thereby be enlarged. troops for France! (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) (Received July 17th, 11.80 p.m.) WASHINGTON, July 16. General March has announced that throe American Army Corps, of from 225,060 to 250,000 each, had been organised, in Franco. He said that the shipments of troops to France were continuing as in previous months.
