WAIRARAPA OPINION. (press association telegram.) MASTERTON. July 13. The following resolution was passed at a meeting of the Mastorton A. and P. Association to-day:—"That this Association recognises the obligation of the farming community of Now Zealand to tho Imperial Government and the Imperial Navy for tho facilities for marketing wool and other produce during the war, and is perfectly satisfied with the terms arranged by tho New Zealand Government with the Imperial authorities, and its commandeering wool for the duration of tho war and for one year thereafter."

GISBORNE, July 13

The executive of the Farmera' Union, after discussing tho wool purchasa scheme, carried a resolution on 6irailar lines to that passed by tho woolgrowers last Saturday. The resolution expressed the opinion that tho Imperial Government should only commandeer wool for tha period of the war, but in order to mako the wool contract continuous with tho meat contract, commandeering should continue for threo months aftor tho war upon the existing terms. That the woolgrowers, having satisfied the Imperial requirements for war purposes below the actual market value, are, in tho trade interests of tho Dominion, resolved to resurao the ordinai'y marketing and control of wool as soon as possible, subject to restrictions preventing tho wool reaching the) enemy.
