COMBING OCT SHIRKERS

A poster is being displayed all over Ireland calling up men liable for military service who are ordinary residents of Britain. If they fail to report at the nearest police station by Wednesday they will bo promptly arrested. Experts whom the National Service Ministry have sent to Ireland are work, ing in collaboration with the Royal Irish Constabulary in onforcing the order, which aims at roping in many thousands who fled to Ireland to avoid conscription.

It is officially announced that Irishmen of military age coming over to Britain in future will be liable to bo called up for war service unless possessing certificates showing they were brought over by an Employment Exchange for agricultural work.
