SOLDIERS SENTENCED
On a, charge of disobeying a lawful command in such a manner as to dhow a wilful defiance of authority, the following soldier has been found guilty by Trentham District Court-martial and sentenced to two years* hard labour: 46781, Private J. Pickering* A.S.Q. For deserting when under orders, for active serricc, the following sentences hava been imposed: Private Gv A. Siggtekow, D&twuls (Isit© Sftfcp Rttßiofce* ments). SO days* deUaidou,; Private HJ. Hoad Details (late 39th Rsiaforcements), SQ days 1 detention; Private J. Hamilton. Details- (lata 38& Reinforcements), 90 <J»ys* detention * x Privet* H. T. Woolhou*e, Details (lata SSta Reinforcements), 90 days' detention.. Two other soldiers, for <kfiertum and bAiog absent without Leave, have been sentenced to shorter terms of: detention. For desertion and loss ol equipment Private H. McQuana, of Details, has been sentenced bv Feathereton District Court-martial to 180 days' detention.
