C.D.C. The second miniature rifle shooting petition of th© season amongst members of the Lyttellon Citizens' Coast Defenoe Corns is now in progress, fho second round havine been completed. Th© handicaps, as in the first competition, were allotted by Captain SillaTs, and havo been sealed until tie completion of the tournament. A trophy for the winner has been giva» by Air D. Comer, aad tbo Lyttelton Club is providing & second prize. Tho competition will be concluded in a fortnight. | BOWLING. At a meeting of tho commits© of th© Lyttelton Bowling Club it was decided to make a recommendation to the general bodr that tho engagement of a caretaker for this green bo discontinued, and that an effort be mode to liavo tho necessary work done by the club members. It was decidod to resume the competitions for the Agar Gold Buttons in tho Kia Ora bowling rink. Two challenge matches were- played during tho week in tho Kia Ora indoor bowlin® rink, tho first being betwoon the United (Chriatchnrch) Club and tho Lyttelton Club, Lyttellon winning by 28 pointß to 15. The rinks were.—Lyttelton: D. Sinclair, J. Bur™P> C ,H. Agar, S. Sinolair (s), and United.* W, Hall, F, iL Brown, O. McM&nQ,way« T» Thompson (s). A match between a selected. rink from Christchtiroh and tho Lyttolton Club resulted as follows.—Lvttelton: W. Taylor, W. Brown, D. Sinclair, E. H. Henderson 24 v Christchurch: M. Barnott, S. Alpc, T. Marker, G. Whito (s) 17. A match in which much interest was taken was clayed between th© Lyttelton Club and the Kia Ora Club, and resulted as follows:— Lyttellon: J. Stanley. W Wales, J. Muhar, S, Sinclair (s) 27 v. Kia Ora, represented hy J. Buruip, W. T. Lcstor, C. H. Agar, H. Barnard (s) 14. NORWICH LODGE. At tho half-yearly meeting of tie Loyal. City of Norwich Lodge, N.G. Bro C. F. 801 l presiding over a good attendance, the sum of £27 3s 4d was passed as sick pay. A letter was received from th© Prov. C.S. North Canterbury District, intimating that an. official visit would be paid nert Lodge niirht. The half-yearly balance-sheet was received nnd adopted, showing tho value of all funds to be-£1G,105 17« 2d. The sum of £M 8 117 a 6d* (£64 being to soldiers) was paid as sick pay and £100 na funeral donations during the half year. It was decided to present a medal to the member .who introduced the most new members during th© next twelve months. The following officers were installed :—G.M., Bro. 0. F. Bell: N.G., Bro. V.
