At Burnsido to-day 262 fat cattle were yarded, including a number of prima heavy lines. Competition was good at'lato rates. Extra prime heavy bullocks mado £25 12s 6d to £27 ss, prime £19 to £23 12a 6d, medium £16 to £18 10s, lighter £13 108 to A*i3 103, prime heifers £15 10a, medium £13 to £14 10s, light and aged £3 10s and upwards. Sheep—2939 were yarded. Only a fow pens were really primo. Competition for good quality was animated at prioes slightly higher than late rates, but inferior declined Is to Is 6d per head. Extra prime heavy wethers made 555, prime 4Ss to s'2a 6d, medium 33s to 46s 6d, light" and unfinished 32a 6d and upwards, extra prime owes 57s 3d, prime heavy 45» 9d to 48s 6d, prime 33a to 44s 3d, medium 30b to 36a 6d, light and aged 223 and upwards. Lambs—799 were penned. The quality was medium. Competition for prime was keen at late rates. Graziers were operating? for inferior. Prime made 28s 6d to' 32s 9d, medium 25a to 265, lighi and unfinished 23s and upwards. Pigs—A email yarding met keea competition, and priccs were firm at late rates, iiest baconers made BJd to BJd per lb, and best porkers BJd to 9d per lb.

WANGANUI, July 10.

The Wanganni Agricultural Association today carried a resolution expressing satisfaction with the terms of the Government's wool purchase. Tho opinion was expressed that even if the growers were allowed to ship their own wool after the war, high freights and the scarcity of ships would nullify all advantage of the high prices expected.
