BOROUGH COUNCILS.
« iSPIIEYIKJN. The Spreydon Borough Council mot last night. Present—The Mayor (Mr W. H. Winsor), and Crs. $ O'Rourke, D. Williamson, 6. H. Budd, A. E. Brewer, A. Manhii®, W. B. Galiagan, J. P. Diack, and E. H. Clarke. The Works Committee recommended that the City Council be informed that tho Spreydon Council retained control of boundary roads up to the channel on the city side, the city to pay half cost of road maintenance.— Adopted. Cr. Brewer wrote stating that as the time was fast approaching when he would have to go into camp, he hod to tender his resignation as a trustee, representing 1 the Council, of Mrs Johns's benefit fund. Cr. Diack was appointed to the position. Following upon a request from the Spreydon branch of the L»dy Liverpool Fund. Cr. Manhire moved that the councillors form themBel Tea in to, a committee to forward the Tramway Copper Trail effort in Spreydon. The motion was carried.
