DOMINION MINISTERS' ACTIVITIES.
(fbkss association txhobam.) WELLINGTON, July 10. The following message, dated July sth, has been received from the New Zealand official war correspondent, Mr and Sir Joseph Ward spent only a day in Paris. In tho morning they attended the American Independence celebration, and wards proceeded to Versailles, where they were entertained at luncheon -y Mr Lloyd George. Numerous distlnblr Joseph Ward, along with other overjea Ministers, attended a General War Conference, at which they met Generals Foch- and Joffre, M. Clemenceau, Signer Orlando, and several distinguished officers from the Allied armies. The Dominions' representatives were welcomed by M. Clemenceau, who in a brief but brilliant speech, thanked the Dominions, in the name of France, in the name pf Europe, and in the name of humanity, ffV their spleitfid ser* vices in the \w.r. , . . , The New Z&land party left in the evening for the base, wWe the following dav thev inspected the Records Oflue and a New Zealand bakery. Joseph Ward, during their visit to the front, spent a lively time in the danger zone, I hoy motored three miles along the front line, and had a taste of shell-fare. Both were greatly impressed with General Foch and M. Clemenceau. _Th.o oversea Ministers declare that their visit was useful, and they gained a general knowledge .pf what fine work the over- . seas troops were doing. Sir Joseph ' Ward states that lie is prouder of the troops to-day than ever. Their worn was such as to cheer the heart of the most confirmed pessimist.
