MEETINGS AND SOCIALS.
CONCERT -AT LIN WOOD.A Tory successful concert was held in the Liti'.vood School on Saturday in aid of tho funds of tlio Linwood-Dallington Soldiers' Aid and tho Linwood School. The large class-room was filled to its utmost capacity, and a .splendid programme was provided. Mesdames McGillivroy and Pearce, tho Mis3es M. Russell and Grace Jones, and Messrs H. Blakeley, W. Aitcheson, F.' Allen, and H. McLeod contributed vocal selections, ■whilst Mrs T. Williams and Messrs R. Malcolm and C. H. Bartlett provided several amusing recitations. Musical items were given by Messrs Colin Campbell (concertina), and Birch and Skinner (banjo and mandolin), and dances by Mes9rs Reeves and Walker. Miss Eileen Lascell es acted as accomparist.
