MAGISTERIAL.

DRUNKENNESS
Two first offenders were each fined os or 24 hours' imprisonment for drunkenness. liugh Miller, who appeared on remand oil a charge of helpless drunkenness, was prohibited and ordered to pay £1 los expenses, in default seven days' imprisonment.
VAGRANCY. James Dermott, on a charge of having no lawful means of support, was sentenced to three months' imprisonment.
ASSAULT
James Fearon (Mr Cuningliam), charged with assaulting Clifford Osborne, was fined 60s, in default one month's imprisonment. REMANDED. Edward Ralph Martin (Mr Twynehara), a coloured man, was remanded till July 15th on a chargo that, being an alien, 'lie did fail to givo notice within li days of his chango of abode. CIVIL CASES.
In each of the following cases judgment for the amount claimed, with costs, was entered for the plaintiff bydefault: —International Harvester Co. of Now Zealand v. George Taylor, £129 Is 6d; J. and A. W. Muniiings t. William Madden, £5 15s lid; Massey-Har-ris Co., Ltd., v. Hurinui, £3 17s Bdj New Zealand Piano Co., Ltd., v. Tuiti McDonald, £22 16s; Milner and Thompson. Ltd. v. George W. Cooper, £12 ICte.
RANGIORA

Edward Lindon, charged with having stolen a pair of boots valued at £1 los, the property of Charles Wrn. Mehrtens, was fined £2, and ordered to mnke restitution, iu default, 14 days' imprisonment.
